Keyano Indigenous Spare & Study Lounge Renovation

Casman was engaged to transform an existing 1,200 sq. ft. computer lab into an inclusive Indigenous space and study lounge. The project introduced a new mezzanine overlooking the area, along with a kitchen and Elders’ office below. A key feature is the intricate resilient flooring, designed with culturally significant shapes and patterns, incorporating a motorized gathering circle for ceremonial smudging beneath a Star Story ceiling. Natural vinyl graphics and birch wood millwork complete the space, creating a bright, holistic environment that reflects and celebrates Indigenous culture.
