Jeff Sandeman : Chief Operating Officer

Jeff Sandeman is the Chief Operating Officer of the Casman Group. Starting with the Casman Group in 1989, Jeff has held multiple positions throughout his tenure, some of which include: Carpenter, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and General Manager. Through these roles Jeff has developed a reputation for his exceptional leadership and organizational skills, applying his extensive hands-on construction experience to ensure both successful delivery of Casman projects and a highly organized operation. Clients repeatedly refer to Jeff’s ability to get it done. Jeff’s commitment to safety, quality, and mentoring and building a team has resulted in the growth of a highly trained, effective team of Casman Managers and Staff.

Jeff has strong ties to the community, is an active member of the Oil Barons’ Board of Directors, and volunteers his time and construction skills to various community groups.

Multiple Business, Leadership, Project, and Safety Certificate Programs compliment Jeff’s original Red Seal Journeyman Carpentry trade certification.

 

Will Sawchyn : Chief Financial Officer

Will Sawchyn is the Casman Group of Companies Chief Financial Officer. Will has over 20 years of experience in senior financial roles with public and privately held companies. Over the course of his career, Will has worked in the utilities, heavy equipment, technologies and construction industries. In addition to financial management, Will’s experience has spanned business acquisition and integration, strategic business planning and business development.

Will is currently a Director of the Board of Canada’s largest integrated facility services company and sits as a Director of the Canadian Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation, an organization focused on support and research for MS suffers and their families.

Will holds a B.Comm in Accounting, is a Chartered Accountant and is a Qualified Arbitrator.

 

Craig Sherburne : General Counsel

Craig Sherburne is our General Counsel.  Craig is a lawyer with over 12 years of experience in commercial law, securities and corporate law experience.  He has acted as internal counsel for publicly traded companies, as well as having investment banking, venture capital and business development roles in addition to his duties as inside counsel.

Craig plays an active role in community fundraising and volunteering, and is the President of the Alberta Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation, working on assisting with the standard of care for Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Craig is also a professional public speaker and author.

Craig holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology, a Ph.D in Molecular Biology, a J.D., is a Qualified Arbitrator; a registered Trade-mark agent in Canada and a registered patent agent in Canada and the United States.

 

Margie Shenduk : Director of Operations

Joining the Casman Group in 2001, Margie brings a range of skills and experience including operations, client relations, project development, project management, and project controls to her Director of Operations role. Margie combines her technical understanding of building design and construction with her strength in communications, contracts, and general construction processes when overseeing our clients’ projects from development to close-out.

Margie leads Casman’s partnership with NAIT and is passionate about recruiting, training, and mentoring Casman’s future Leaders.

Margie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a LEED® Accredited Professional, has an Interior Design Technology diploma, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
