As one of the largest local construction companies to maintain a head office in Fort McMurray, Casman Group of Companies is committed to making a positive contribution to the betterment of our community.

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is one of the fastest growing communities in North America and Casman Group of Companies believes it is essential to offer all residents resources that support healthy lifestyles as well as affordable housing and community living. To fulfill the promise of the corporate mission, The Casman Group continuously supports organizations such as the Fort McMurray Food Bank, the Northern Lights Health Foundation, the Fort McMurray Boys & Girls Club, Scouts Canada, The Children’s Centre of Fort McMurray, the Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society, and Fort McMurray Minor Hockey, Minor Baseball and Youth Soccer Associations. Casman Executives and Managers all have strong ties to Fort McMurray and recognize that the success of The Casman Group is intimately linked to the development of this community.

In a significant venture, The Casman Group of Companies teamed up with the Northern Alberta Athletic Association’s board of directors and some key municipal leaders to provide a $500,000 donation to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. The Thickwood Arena now bears the name “The Casman Centre”, in recognition of Casman’s continued commitment to the support of this facility and team. The Casman Centre serves thousands of ringette, minor hockey, figure skating and adult recreational hockey participants each season.

Casman Group employees also play prominent roles throughout the region as community leaders and members. Some have served on the local Hospital Board, the Board for the Chamber of Commerce, the Executive of the Fort McMurray Construction Association, the Fort McMurray Airport Authority, and as leaders of the fundraising campaign for the McDonald Island Leisure Centre.

Our owners, managers, and our employees all truly care about building Fort McMurray in the right way.
